NOCTURNAL PREPARATION

I’m interested in exalt­ing the connection between the human and nature and exploring the boundary between the real world and the surreal world of my landscapes in constant transformation.
My representations of sumo wrestlers address the theatricality and the contained strength of this ancient Japanese art.
These figures, which fuse power and harmony, find a conceptual parallel with the flow of water and the constant movement that characterizes my work.

TECHNICAL DATA:
- Unique, original painting
- 60x60x3 cm
- Oil, acrylic and leaf frottage on canvas, 2008.
- Varnished with matte varnish for added protection.
- The canvas is shipped stretched on a 3 cm thick wooden frame.
- The sides of the canvas are painted, so a frame is not required unless desired.
- The artwork is shipped wrapped in bubble wrap in a rigid cardboard box.
- An authenticity certificate is included.
- It is signed and dated by me on the back of the canvas.

ABOUT ME
Born in Italy, on the island of Sardinia, in 1963, after stints in New York to study graphic design and then in Milan, I moved to Barcelona in 1991 to work as a graphic designer, and here I began my artistic career which over time has become my profession, my passion and above all a vital necessity.
I have held solo and group exhibitions in several European cities, and my works are in various private collections around the world.
My work is deeply rooted in nature and human emotions; my star theme is water and fish, two visual universes that share symbolic intensity. The fascination with the fluidity and dynamism of water acts as a through-line in my creations and symbolizes constant transformation.
