This unique large aquamarine sphere is, in that respect, an example of craftsmanship. With its impressive weight of over 2.6 kilograms and an equally imposing diameter of over 13 (!) centimeters, it is, wherever it stands, a unique and striking centerpiece.
This aquamarine is a blue-green variety of beryl. The name is derived from the Latin term for ‘water of the sea’; according to ancient legends aquamarine was the treasure of mermaids. Sailors used it as a talisman to protect them. It was also valued as a stone of eternal youth and luck.
Aquamarine is also known as a strongly calming stone that brings rest, clarity, and balance, both mentally and physically. The stone promotes sincerity, tolerance, and communication, and helps reduce anxiety, stress, and allergic reactions.
