Architectural ornament - 20th century - Verona Red Columns

Splendid and unprecedented marble column from Northeast Italy (Verona). (Verona Rosso). Can support a very large garden statue, with a diameter of 0.50 m at the top and slightly rounded outward. See the last photo. Toward the bottom it is light and playfully modeled with a base diameter also 0.50 m. The whole is, of course, made of a solid block of marble, which is extremely rare. Estimated weight about 350 kg. The height is 0.87 m. This marble type is widely used as flooring in churches and palaces, and is also commonly used for architectural and decorative elements. Please note that the column shows small chips, a sign of the passage of time, which only makes the object more authentic. In consultation with the buyer, the column can also be delivered by the seller up to 1500 km from Brussels. Larger distances to be arranged with the seller. No sale outside Europe.
