- Inscriptions: Obverse: value “٢٥٠ فلس” inside a central circle with Arabic legend around and vegetal branches at the bottom. Reverse: date palm trees in an agricultural landscape with date in Arabic on both sides.
- Grade: MS65 (PCGS).
Silver 250 Fils coin with a design characteristic of the FAO commemorative issues, highlighting on the reverse a set of finely engraved date palm trees that symbolize the country’s agricultural wealth, with a high level of detail in leaves and trunks. The obverse presents the value within a balanced composition with Arabic legends and stylized vegetal elements. The specimen shows excellent preservation, with intense original luster, clean fields and very sharp reliefs, virtually no signs of wear. This piece reflects the focus on agricultural development in Iraq during the second half of the 20th century, in the context of international food cooperation programs.
