Coin of 5 Mils in a base alloy with a central hole, a distinctive feature of the British Mandate emissions in Palestine. The obverse presents a wreath of finely detailed branches surrounded by the territory’s denominations in English, Hebrew and Arabic, reflecting the multilingual administration of the period. The reverse shows the value likewise in the three languages, with clear and balanced typography. It retains the original lustre visible on the fields and reliefs, with light contact marks typical of the MS63 grade, maintaining an overall fresh and uniform appearance. A representative specimen of circulating coinage in the 1930s, in a historical context marked by increasing political tensions in the region under British administration.
