An antique neoclassical carved wooden frame with guazzo gilding from circa 1800–1850, Italian origin, in a casetta display style, dimensions 73 cm high by 63 cm wide with an internal opening of 56 by 47 cm, in discrete condition with probable small losses to the gilding.

Big, beautiful, important antique period frame from the early 19th century, First Empire
Elegant carved wooden frame, water-gilded in gold, dating to the first half of the 19th century.
The frame features a rich original gilding in a neoclassical taste, between the 18th and 19th centuries.
The workmanship is handmade and the frame has a box-like profile.
On the back you can see the characteristic period construction features: patina consistent with the age. They are typical of neoclassical taste between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
Old hardware and patina consistent with the age. There are some cracks in the wood and small losses in the gilding, compatible with the age, which attest to its authenticity and original charm.
