Märklin Z - 8101 - Train set (1) - BR 111 with Silberlinge coaches - DB

Beautiful and now harder-to-find set from the early period of Z gauge. This set was made between 1978 and 1979.

It concerns the characterful German passenger train consisting of the iconic DB BR 111 electric locomotive with three “Silberlinge” passenger cars in the classic Bundesbahn livery.

This set breathes pure 1970s/80s Märklin nostalgia and is a superb addition for any Z-scale collector or enthusiast of vintage German model railway history.

The BR 111 locomotive carries the works number 111 043-6 and is finished in the handsome beige/blue DB color scheme. The passenger cars show nice detailing, fine printing, and the typical Silberlinge appearance that for many years defined the look of Deutsche Bundesbahn.
