Blue and white Murano glass vase by Gianluca Vidal (Luca Vidal), handblown in Murano near Venice in the 1990s, with an organic, asymmetric form and a base signed by the artist; dimensions 23 cm wide, 41 cm high, depth about 11 cm, in good used condition with minor signs of aging and spots.

This vase is a beautiful piece of glass art by the Italian master glassmaker Gianluca (Luca) Vidal, made on the famous Murano island near Venice.
Features of the vase
Technique: The vase is crafted with a traditional Italian technique (related to the a canne or filigrana method) in which vertical bands of white and blue glass are carefully fused into the molten glass.
Form: The object has an organic, asymmetrical design with a flowing movement in the stripes, characteristic of Luca Vidal's hand-blown studio glass.
Authenticity: Pieces by Luca Vidal are hand-signed by the artist on the underside (often engraved with "Luca Vidal Murano"), see photograph of the base.
About the artist
Gianluca Vidal (born 1976) began glassblowing at the age of 14. He has worked with several great Murano masters and is worldwide known for his complex patterns, use of intense colors, and mastery of difficult techniques such as murrine and zanfirico.
