Origin: Italy
Period: First half of the 20th century
Style: Baroque / Baroque

Manufacturing: Italian quality since 1856. In the late 1700s the nobleman of Vercelli, Giuseppe Sambonet, begins the goldsmith and silversmith activity and is later charged with restoring precious objects of the city’s “Treasure of the Cathedral.” His son Giuseppe graduates from the Institute of Fine Arts with a Master Goldsmith diploma, and on May 15, 1856, founds the Giuseppe Sambonet company, depositing the mark in the Mint as "GS". From 1900 Sambonet becomes an official supplier to the Royal Family and other noble families. In the thirties, Sambonet emerges in the stainless steel cutlery market and is the first in Europe to develop a system for silver-plating steel.
Weight: about 4.65 kg
Conditions: Good condition. Service for six people, vintage, never used. I note halos, signs of aging. Outer box intact but with signs of aging.
Interventions: Clean further, polish to your liking.
Note: A rare vintage cutlery service of the highest quality and beauty. The Sambonet Baroque collection traces back to traditional Piedmontese Baroque and preserves its formal elegance and bon ton.
