Luxor - WB21 Tube radio

Very rare Swedish portable radio set in a handy carrying case, fully restored and ready for everyday use. All external parts were deeply cleaned and show only poor but barely visible traces of age and use.
The faux leather case was treated with a leather-care cream.
The lid contains an interior makeup mirror.
Due to underwhelming performance of the original AM section, only the original 0.29 watt amplifier section was retained and supplemented with:
- A solid-state FM tuner with very good reception via whip antenna (87.5-108 MHz);
- A Bluetooth receiver (not HiFi);
- An input for external speakers with a 3.14 mm jack (48kOhm).
Since the device was originally also designed to operate on batteries (4.5 & 67V), the unit is built around specially developed tubes for this purpose. The power consumption is very low and the heating is immediate so there is no warm-up time and the device plays as soon as the lid is opened. However, do not expect “concert hall” HiFi sound.
All capacitors, resistors and semiconductors are new.
The device bears the logo of the Swedish Court Supplier.
Tubes: DL94-DAF96-DF96-DK92 (tested +90% - DK92 only as ballast for the glow lamp).
