Beautiful, decorative poet’s quartet “Miniature Portraits” by Bielefelder Spielkarten G.m.b.H., designed after illustrations by Gerhard Ulrich.

Particularly appealing is the edition in the bibliophile book-case (Buchetui) with linen spine and a decorative portrait medallion on the lid—a design that clearly goes beyond an ordinary quartet game and reflects the bourgeois-educational character of the postwar era.

The game contains portraits of notable German-speaking poets and writers from various eras. The cards show miniature portraits with short biographical notes on the front; the backs are uniformly designed.
