Description from the seller
Splendid and fascinating three-tiered stand for sweets, biscuits or finger food, fully made of high-quality plated metal by the renowned Toledo manufactory (Argentina), dating from the mid-20th century.
This refined table art object stands out for its ingenious space-saving and transformable design:
- When closed: it appears as an elegant and compact vertical disk supported by stylized feet, topped by a curved handle with a finely worked knob.
- When open: thanks to a perfect hinge mechanism, it unfolds to reveal three circular plates arranged on staggered levels, ideal for serving fine pastries or chocolates during receptions.
The rims of the plates are decorated with a finely fluted pattern (in small dots), typical of timeless classic style.
