Antique brass samovar from circa 1850–1900, of Russian origin, with hand-painted decorative motifs and a perforated base, measuring 41 cm high, 19 cm wide, 24 cm deep, weighing 2 kg, in good used condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
Antique metal samovar (c. 1890–1930), probably of Russian origin, with hand-painted decoration and pierced base.
Elegant bulbous-bodied samovar made of metal with a dark reddish patina. It features three curved legs joined to a pierced triangular tray, a spout with a functional valve, and a classic-design side handle. The tall lid is topped with a two-tone pinnacle.
The piece displays refined pictorial decoration depicting rural and landscape scenes, applied in a lacquered/painted technique on a dark background, evoking the late 19th-century Russian ornamental taste.
The upper part retains a decorative golden frieze and the body shows traces of the original paint with ornamental motifs, characteristic of Oriental samovars from the late 19th century.
Authentic piece, ideal for collectors, vintage decor or interiors with an Orientalist aesthetic.
Condition: good overall for its age, with natural wear to the paint and homogeneous patina.
Material: metal with painted decoration
Era: c. 1890–1930
Origin: Russia (probable)
