Description from the seller
Ceramic Birdhouse
"This series of birdhouses was born from a desire to change my approach, to step away from my usual typologies and explore a freer, more decorative object. I wanted to work with a more instinctive drawing, applying to a new form the materials and textures I love: I worked the reddish stoneware to play with the oxidation and reduction that glaze creates on the surface, using aligned brushstrokes to build a relief between gloss and matte. A slightly apart project, more intuitive, born from a need to play and experiment; far from daily function, but always in the gesture."
Materials: Glazed stoneware
About Lucas Huillet:
Formed at the Camondo School of design and interior architecture. This academic path opened doors to collaborations with prestigious houses and institutions.
In 2018, he created his studio as an exploration space where ceramics, interior architecture, and object design intersect, centered on expertise in working with natural materials, allowing him to conceive unique pieces that are both everyday objects and full-fledged works.
Today, the studio continues to combine traditional craft with contemporary innovation, with the goal of creating objects that carry meaning and authenticity.
Lucas Huillet’s creations have been exhibited notably at Paris Design Week, Collectible in Brussels, and the Dubai Al Shindagha Museum.
