Original four-seat block from a cinema/theater hall of SMI (Società Metallurgica Italiana). Classic period construction, very robust, designed for heavy use.
The seats are made of curved wood with a glossy finish that highlights the grain. The legs are in black metal, simple and functional. The seats are of the flip-up type (they close on their own when not occupied).
Conditions (Read carefully):
The chairs are used and preserved in their original condition. They have not been restored to new condition, therefore they bear all the marks of their history:
Wood: Scratches, small chips and scattered signs of wear (especially on the edges and armrests). In one spot there is a small loss of the first layer of wood (see detail photo).
Metal: The black paint on the legs shows small points of surface rust and scratches, but the structure is perfectly solid and stable.
Mechanics: The flip mechanism of the seats still works well on all four seats.
