Semflex with Berthiot 4.5/75mm, body no. Boitier 400 649, in good physical condition and untested, for 120/220 film, dating from the 1960s to 1970s.
Description from the seller
Semflex, a durable and rugged camera equipped with a Berthiot 1.45 / 75 mm four-element lens, with a Cloude Forge Orec shutter.
Semflex 6x6 film camera in excellent condition.
At the end of the 1940s, after World War II, Germany was heavily bombed and there were no new cameras coming from that country: Leicas had been spared due to the existence of a nearby interrogation center for Allied war airmen and the looting of their production equipment.
Poul Royet and his SEM: Société d’Économie Mixte conquered the 6x6 market with a twin-lens telemeter, now free from Rolleiflex and Ikoflex.
He designed, with Semflex, a durable and rugged camera equipped with a Berthiot 1.45 / 75 mm four-element lens, with the Cloude Forge Orec shutter.
One could say it’s a copy of the Rolleicord.
