An exceptional 19th-century antique treen tobacco jar, beautifully hand-turned from high-quality hardwood. This classic cylindrical jar features a distinctive, deeply ribbed ring-turned body, a tightly fitting stepped lid, and is topped with a finely turned central knob.
The wood has developed a rich, deep chestnut-brown color with an outstanding natural patina and a lovely soft glow accumulated over generations of use. A wonderful and tactile piece of social history, perfect for collectors of antique treen, tobacciana, or as a striking decorative item for a traditional or eclectic interior.
