Tea service (9) - Glass, Gold

Set of tea pieces in blown glass with an impressive decoration of flowers and foliage, entirely inlaid with gold.

The floral frieze was crafted with great delicacy and precision to achieve a relief effect. An artisanal work entirely handmade.

The inlay of the saucers was done from the underside to avoid any rubbing and to preserve the pattern.
The base of the cups is adorned with a small flower also affixed from underneath.

A masterful work, from the Napoleon III era.

The set consists of 9 pieces:

- 1 large teapot, height 18 cm, diameter 17 cm, length 26 cm
- 1 sugar bowl, height 12 cm, diameter 11 cm
- 1 creamer/pot, height 10 cm, diameter 11 cm, length 13 cm
- 3 cups, diameter 7 cm, height 5 cm
- 3 saucers, diameter 12 cm, height 1.5 cm

In excellent condition, just a few light wear losses of the gold fillets on the rim of the cup and the sugar bowl lid. (See photos nos. 1, 6, 2 and 20)
Nothing of importance given the intact quality of the remarkable motif inlay.
For purists or collectors, a light restoration of the gilded fillets is always possible.
