AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Beautiful antique dental articulator made of bronze.
A dental articulator is a mechanical device from early dentistry used to mimic the relationship between the upper and lower jaws for making prostheses.
The two fork-shaped ends hold respectively the plaster models of the upper and lower jaws, while the adjusting screw in the middle locks the bite and height of the dentition.
In good, well-used condition with a nice patina; to remove the plaster, it is often struck with a hammer-shaped object, which well reflects the history of use and adds extra character to this piece.
On the lower fork is a maker’s mark impressed, but it is difficult to read (last 2 photos).
Collapsed dimensions: length 11.8 cm, width 4.7 cm, and height 6.6 cm.
I have previously purchased this articulator at an antiques fair in England.
Carefully packed and sent by registered mail and insured, with tracking.
