Gesluierde vrouw, a 1960–1970 oil painting by Dutch artist Frans Boers (1914–1987), hand-signed, in a classical style, 80.4 × 60.4 cm, sold with frame.

Frans Boers (Bressoux (Liège) 26 January 1914 – Nieuwegein, 12 August 1987) was a painter.
Boers lived in Amsterdam, at the Kloosterweg 18 in Laren and later in Lage-Vuursche. There he had a permanent exhibition in his studio at Hoge Vuurscheweg 5. For his work he used oil paint and watercolors. He was a member of the Vereeniging van Beeldende Kunstenaars Laren-Blaricum and the Federatie van Verenigingen van Beroeps Beeldende Kunstenaars in Amsterdam.
Frans Boers was autodidact and painted mainly animals, landscapes, portraits and (flower) still lifes. In Europe, Africa and Asia the agricultural aspects of the local population and the market are the main subjects. He also produced many animal studies, for example of donkeys, dromedaries and water buffaloes. Many of his watercolors appeared on calendars, both in the Netherlands and abroad. Boers’s work is included in the collection of the Singer Museum in Laren and in the Rijkscollectie.
