Description from the seller
Antique folding bellows camera, model Icarette, produced in the first half of the twentieth century by the renowned German manufacturer ICA of Dresden before the historic merger into the Zeiss Ikon group. This fascinating collectible piece presents with its metal body clad in black faux leather finely worked with a fine grain and shows the front hinged door that serves as the base for the sliding of the optical assembly. The black leather bellows with square cross-section appears structurally intact, maintaining the classic shiny pantograph-like lateral levers that ensure perfect mechanical parallelism during lens extension. On the front, the circular shutter group of the era stands out, equipped with mechanical regulation levers for shutter speeds and diaphragms, on which is clearly engraved the inscription of the Dresden maker, enriched by a Galilean-type viewfinder adjustable above the main optic. The camera retains all the original small hardware details, including the upper metal knobs for advancing film and the support feet for vertical tabletop positioning, configuring itself as a piece of exquisite historical flavor, perfect for decorating elegant interiors or enriching a vintage photographic display cabinet.
