Description from the seller

Liturgical Art Deco chalice in hammered silver, accompanied by its original gilded paten and kept in its transport box.

Belgian work from Bruges attributed to the Mouraux Br. workshop, circa 1930-1940.

Elegant sober, modernist decoration on a hammered background, adorned with stylized grapevines and applied crosses. A richly chiselled knop with an Eucharistic motif of grape clusters and foliage.

Interior of the cup fully vermeil.

Inscriptions engraved under the foot: “Mouraux-Br”, “Michaelis”, “Sancti M”, “Pareciani” and “Dederunt”, probably linked to an ecclesiastical dedication.

The paten bears a monogram IHS engraved at the center.

Very fine quality of execution typical of Belgian Art Deco religious silverware.

Bruges, circa 1940.
Silver tested.
Gross weight for the chalice and paten: approximately 578 g.

Very good overall condition with light signs of use. Original old transport case preserved.

The photos are an integral part of the description of the objects and complete their presentation. They allow you to appreciate their condition and features. Please examine them carefully before any purchase.

It will be very well packed and securely protected to reach you quickly by tracked postal parcel.
