The Dawn. Converging Worlds: the fusion of bodies, the transparencies, the use of tonal transitions between magenta, violet and that blue at the base evoke a suspended, dreamlike dimension. The light floral motif in the background creates a texture that unites the figures into a single world.I am Barbara Bartolomei. I create paintings addressing various themes such as portraits, the human figure and animals, landscapes, still life, sacred art and fantasy compositions. My painting technique unfolds through several specific stages of work as taught by the masters of the Florentine Renaissance, executing oil compositions while experimenting with different supports.
I studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and at the Sacred Art School of Florence. I am a painting instructor for adults, a teacher in international master's programs and summer courses for Italian and foreign students. I have collaborated in the realization of large-format sacred works and have curated exhibition projects, from graphics to the photographic catalog.
I paint everything that can be expressed through beauty, in a dimension of meeting between dream and reality. I have sold works throughout Europe and outside the EU, painting both on commission and for auctions and private collectors.
