Description from the seller

Rare Antique Belgian Copper Stockpot with Matching Lid - H. Pommier Bruxelles - Ø 24 cm

An exceptional and heavy professional-grade copper stockpot (marmite) with its original matching lid, crafted by the renowned Belgian coppersmith H. Pommier in Brussels.
Founded in the 19th century, the H. Pommier workshop is celebrated among culinary collectors for producing copper cookware of a quality that rivals the finest historic French houses like Mauviel and Dehillerin.

This specific piece features a beautiful, clean solid copper interior, making it highly prized by pastry chefs for whipping egg whites or boiling sugar syrups/caramels. To use it for everyday acidic cooking, it can easily be professionally re-tinned.

- **Maker's Stamp:** Deeply and clearly stamped "H. POMMIER BRUXELLES" on the side.
- **Matching Set:** Both the rim of the pot and the rim of the lid are stamped with the matching size number "24", proving they are a 100% original, factory-matched pair.
- **Heavy-Gauge Construction:** Features a robust, thick-walled copper body designed to last generations.
- **Premium Hardware:** Fitted with heavy, ornate cast brass/bronze handles secured by the traditional and secure 3-copper-rivet system on each side.

Dimensions:
- **Diameter:** 24 cm (Internal)
- **Origin:** Brussels, Belgium
- **Period:** Early to mid-20th Century

Excellent vintage condition with no major dents, deep cracks, or structural damage. The handles are perfectly tight with zero wobble. The copper exterior displays a gorgeous, warm natural patina with minor surface scuffs consistent with age and careful use. The interior is clean, un-tinned copper. Please review the high-resolution photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of this description.

The product will be professionally packed and sent safely to your address by local post.
The pictures of the product are made with the highest possible resolution, precisely to capture possible small defects (small scratches, stains, defect), the pictures are part of the product description.
