French-made crystal decanter mounted in 950/1000 silver, hand-engraved with floral and spiral décor, dating to the late 19th century, with a height of 23.5 cm, width 8 cm, diameter 10 cm, weight 496 g, in very good condition with minor signs of wear.

Elegant French crystal-cut glass decanter / carafe in faceted crystal and 950/1000 French silver, France, late 19th century.
Magnificent piece of French silversmithing and artistic glassware, crafted in fine hand-engraved crystal with floral and spiraled decoration, accompanied by an extraordinary solid silver mount in late Art Nouveau / Napoleon III style.
The silver mount features refined chiseling work with vegetal motifs, scrolls and relief floral decoration, typical of high French silversmithing from the late 19th century. The handle exhibits an elegant sculptural form with rich ornamental detail.
The piece preserves original French hallmarks:
- Minerva head,
- corresponding to fine silver 950/1000,
- as well as additional marks of the master French silversmith.
The blown and cut crystal retains excellent clarity and a decoration deeply worked by hand.
A decorative and functional piece originally intended to serve wine, liqueur, or water on aristocratic and bourgeois tables of the French Belle Époque.
