Jozef Jankovič, PF, a 2003 lithograph in a limited edition (54/60), signed, in good condition, 52 × 42 cm, from Slovakia, framed, sold by Galerie.
Description from the seller
Jozef Jankovič (Bratislava, 8 November 1937 – Bratislava, 6 June 2017) was a Slovak sculptor, painter, graphic artist and designer. He is regarded as one of the leading representatives of modern Slovak sculpture.
His work is characterized by an expressive and often confrontational formal language, in which themes such as human vulnerability, social oppression and existential tension are central. Jankovič combined influences from Expressionism, new figuration and pop art with a strong personal visual language.
From the 1960s onward he gained international recognition with monumental sculptures, assemblages and graphic work. During the communist regime in Czechoslovakia, his work was regularly censored because of the critical and socially engaged content.
Dimensions of the work: 52 x 43 cm
Dimensions of the work with frame: 30 x 20 cm
Viewing is, of course, possible. In addition, we have our own in-house framing workshop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary year. Furthermore, we make use of restorers from the professional organization: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to make use of this, we would, of course, be happy to hear from you.
