Antique Schnaps or liqueur set in Historicism style
Historicism glass pourer with matching cup/small mug, enamel painting & tin lid.
Decorative, two-piece set consisting of a bulbous pourer with a fold-down tin lid and a matching small handle cup. The amber-colored or smoke-opal glass is elaborately decorated with applied glass beads (nuppen), wavy thread accents, and a fine multicolored dot enamel painting in Renaissance style.
Manufacturer: Unknown glassworks (typical works of renowned manufacturers such as Theresienthal, Fritz Heckert, or Bohemian glassworks).
Country of origin: Germany / Bohemia.
Approximate year: ca. 1880–1900 (late Historicism / Old German period).
Style: Historicism (Renaissance Revival / "Altdeutsch").
Technique: Hand-blown, formed glass; applied glass beads and thread accents; hand-applied enamel painting (relief enamel); mounted tin cast lid.
Material: Amber-colored glass (smoked glass), enamel colors, tin mount.
