Another solitary Ibedji; to note the elaboration of the hairstyle into several buns, the scarifications on the cheeks, and very especially the carving of the collar beads at the waist, which have been carved in opposite diagonals to obtain the look of snake scales. This author had the opportunity to see firsthand the hand-carving of these "trade beads" with grinding stones through an ingenious mechanism activated with the feet, and as a support for the glass beads, simply the fingers, incredible..!
