Fine Gien faience plate, numbered N°11, dating to the mid-19th century (c. 1850), depicting Saint Nicholas and the three saved children, with a diameter of about 20 cm, originating from Loiret, France, in good condition with light signs of aging.

A superb and rare antique plate in fine earthenware from Gien (Geoffroy & Cie), dating from the mid-19th century (around 1850).
Emblematic decoration depicting Saint Nicholas, patron saint of mariners, with the traditional scene of the saved children.
Subject depicted:
scene (Saint Nicholas of Bari, bishop, crozier, liturgical vestments, miracle, resurrection, child, tub, town: Gien)
Precisions on the subject represented:
Saint Nicholas is depicted beside the three saved children with the city of Gien in the background
