An Art Deco leather travel clock from around 1920–1930 with a mechanical hand-wound movement, a 1 day power reserve, a white enamel dial with black Arabic numerals and a red 24-hour inner ring, housed in a dark morocco leather folding case with a brass frame and in good working condition.
Description from the seller
A vintage folding mechanical travel or desk clock from the Art Deco period (approx. 1920–1940). The piece is an authentic and elegant example of portable horology from the early to mid 20th century.
Movement: Mechanical hand-winding movement, in full working order (turns and fits without any problems).
Dial: Clean white enamel dial with large black Arabic numerals (1-12) and an inner ring of red numerals for the 24-hour military format (13-24). Retains the original elegant hands.
Original folding stand case, covered in dark textured natural leather (morocco), lined with dark green velvet/silk. The dial is protected by a brass metal frame.
Movement: Fully operational, the watch runs.
Dial and Glass: Good condition for its age, very clean dial, no major cracks in the enamel.
Case and Leather: The leather case shows natural signs of aging and patina, visible signs of wear, rubbing at the corners and small areas where the stitching has loosened.
Clasp: Please note that the brass clasp no longer locks/closes securely due to historical wear. Requires a small adjustment or minimal restoration by a leather goods specialist.
An authentic collector's item with a rich history, ideal as a decorative object for the office or for vintage watch enthusiasts
