Description from the seller

Val St Lambert - 2 Vases 3385/17 - Design 3247/17 - Catalogue 1908.

Large and impressive pair of antique vases by VSL model 3385/17 in ruby-red layered cut crystal, executed with the pattern 3247/17 composed out of upwards and downward fans of 5 beveled lines, large vertical almonds, horizontal fans out of 3 beveled lines and losanges in 'strawberry' cut.

The sculpted rims of these vases are sawtooth finished, the lower parts are paneled with delicate notched edges and each vase has a star pattern on its base, consisting of 24 beveled or 2-sided cut lines.

The vase 3385/17 with pattern 3247/17 is illustrated in the 1908 catalogue (see image) and both vases could not be in a better condition considering that these vases are potentially 125 years old. There is absolutely no damage, not even the smallest chip or scratch, the crystal still has a remarkable clarity and the vases are free from lime-scale.

Both vases will look spectacular on a mantelpiece, a sideboard/buffet or around a tablecentre in the same pattern to create a so called 'suite-de-table'.

Traditional and handcrafted crystal by VSL, once the largest producer of cut crystal in the world which is celebrating this year its bicentennial anniversary, and for may still an absolute favorite.

H 36 cm x D 15 cm - Combined weight 6,750 kg.
Remarkable condition, no damage of any kind, light and normal wear underneath each vase.

Will be shipped double boxed with care (2 boxes in one large outer box).
