Description from the seller
Description:
The Pioneer CS-343 is a vintage pair of passive 2-way speakers, produced between 1980 and 1981 in Japan. At the time they were known as a reliable model.
Key specifications:
Type of speaker: 2-way bass-reflex (with the bass port on the front).
Power handling: 20 Watts RMS (nominal) with a peak music power of 40 Watts.
Impedance: 8 Ohms (easy to drive by most vintage and modern amplifiers).
Frequency range: 50 Hz to 20,000 Hz.
Sensitivity: 92 dB (relatively efficient; easy to play loud).
Crossover frequency: 2,000 Hz.
Drivers and enclosure
Woofer: A 200 mm (8 inch) cone woofer for the bass and midrange.
Tweeter: A 66 mm (2.5 inch) cone for the highs.
Enclosure: Finished in black vinyl, equipped with a removable fabric grille and spring terminals at the rear.
Dimensions: 280 x 480 x 230 mm (Width x Height x Depth).
Weight: Approximately 5.5 kg each.
Placement and performance
Because the bass-reflex port is on the front, you can place these speakers close to a wall or in a bookcase without the bass sounding boomy. Expect a warm, typical 1980s sound that pairs well with vinyl and classic rock or pop.
Preferably pickup in Utrecht (Leidsche Rijn) or shipping in two packages (1x via Catawiki shipping, the other by manual postal service after delivery). Of course both are meticulously packed.
