Description from the seller
Funny and ironic, Miniteca is the table lamp designed by Ron Gilad for Flos. A lamp that aims to animate the space with a surreal and playful spirit. Miniteca creates an atmosphere that updates a historic object that was thought to have long since been relegated to the attic among old furniture. An object with a strong character, this lamp is also a homage to the historic bedside lamp, but also the poetic statement of its definitive sunset. The designer Ron Gilad did not want to transform or draw inspiration from the shapes of the historic model, but decided to take it as it is, placing it in quotation marks as if it were a quotation from a poem. Without creating a new lamp the designer decided to preserve the shape of the lampshade under a glass case, with a plaque engraved with the name of the style. The sensation, looking at Miniteca, is that of a museum piece to which one wishes to pay homage. Miniteca wittily offers these atmospheres, adapting them to today, presenting itself as a lamp that condenses the past to look toward the future, also thanks to the new generation of energy-saving halogen. The offered models are currently represented by 3 different historical styles: Victorian Grandeur, Renaissance Cupola and Ottoman Tulip.
