Description from the seller

FOR SALE: this beautiful and originally Switzerland-delivered Mercedes-Benz 350 SLC from 1975, currently with around 80,000 kilometers on the odometer. The C107 SLC coupe was introduced in 1971 as the luxurious, stretched variant of the legendary R107 SL roadster, with the wheelbase extended by 36 centimeters to accommodate four full seats. This specific model is equipped with the famous 3.5-liter M116 V8 engine with electronic Bosch D-Jetronic fuel injection. In November 2025, this classic was brought by the current owner directly from the first Swiss owner to the Netherlands. It is a very authentic example that offers the perfect combination of sporty elegance, reliable German engineering, and a documented, clear history.

BODYWORK & PAINT
The bodywork of this 1975 Mercedes-Benz 350 SLC is in a neat and solid condition, appropriate to the careful history and the low mileage. The distinctive, slender coupé lines with the iconic rear side windows with slats come beautifully into their own. The chrome trim and body panels fit correctly, which testifies to the legendary build quality Mercedes-Benz practiced in the 1970s.

TECHNICAL
Under the hood lies the powerful 3.5-liter V8 engine paired with a smoothly shifting automatic transmission. The car starts, runs, and shifts exactly as it should. After import in November 2025, the car immediately underwent a very extensive maintenance service where no expense was spared. During this overhaul, among other things, the steering ball joints, engine oil, and oil filters were replaced. The oil and filter of the automatic gearbox were renewed, as well as the fuel pump and the corresponding fuel lines. The braking system has also been fully serviced, and a new air filter has been installed. The current odometer reads approximately 80,000 kilometers, though this number may increase very slightly as the car is still occasionally driven.

INTERIOR
The interior offers the characteristic, high-quality comfort of the SLC class. The interior exudes the atmosphere of the seventies and is in well-kept condition. To modernize driving comfort without disturbing the classic dashboard, the car is equipped with an old-school look radio that is subtly fitted with modern functionalities such as a USB connection and a Bluetooth link. The seats are equipped with genuine leather covers because the fabric upholstery is no longer in good condition.

DOCUMENTS
The documentation and registration of this Mercedes-Benz are fully in order. After import from Switzerland, the car was officially approved by the RDW and allowed on Dutch roads in November 2025. Because of the 1975 build year and the respectable age of the vehicle, this classic in the Netherlands is now fully exempt from motor vehicle tax and there is also no APK requirement.

COLLECTION
The Mercedes-Benz 350 SLC is located in Wellerlooi, the Netherlands. Potential buyers and interested parties are welcome to view the car by appointment on location and collect the car personally after the auction.

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
