Decorative ornament (2) - Italy

Elegant set of carved and gilded wooden wall-mirror plaques, attributable to Venetian production of the 18th century, in the full Louis XV taste. The frames present a rich ornamental repertoire of volutes, foliate motifs and rocaille, typical of the mature Venetian Baroque taste. The original mirrors show normal oxidation of the reflective surface, an element that testifies to the authenticity and charm of the period. It should be noted that the mirrors have undergone restoration work in the past, and the original gilding is present; the aesthetic part is to be reviewed.
