Pentax MV 35mm SLR camera with SMC Pentax-M 50mm f/2.0 lens, Pentax K mount; in good physical condition and tested and working.
Description from the seller
Due to the termination of my collection: a in good condition automatic Pentax MV 35mm SLR camera, with a 50 mm lens and lens cap. The camera was introduced in 1979 by Pentax as a simple successor to the Pentax ME. The Pentax MV features a 0.85x viewfinder, which covered 92% of the image field. The viewfinder image was fixed, with a split-image and a microprism ring in the center. Neither the shutter speed nor the aperture was displayed in the finder. There is no shutter speed knob, and the camera could not be used in manual mode, except for exposure times B and 1/100 second. The light meter was of the standard TTL type with open aperture and center-weighting. It was activated by a light press on the shutter release. The lenses were interchangeable thanks to the K-mount. Alongside the M-series, the SMC Pentax-M compact lenses were introduced. The Pentax MV was only available in a black version. Light metering: TTL, fully functioning, values indicated. Not tested for accuracy. Shutter: Metal electronic focal-plane shutter. Shutter speeds: B, 1 - 1/1000 ((electronically synchronized at 1/100 second). B and 1/100 (manual). All shutter speeds functioning, but not tested for accuracy. Lens mount: Pentax K-mount. Lens: SMC Pentax-M 50 mm f/1:2.0. Lens clear and free of haze, fungus and separation. A nice and fully functioning camera with signs of use. The lens and eyepiece advance move somewhat stiffly. Delivered without batteries and “as-is.” Photos are part of the description.
