Daniel Heilig designed and produced the ZEHNFINGER Sitzhocker in Germany, circa 2020 and onwards, a red solid oak stool with a 50 cm seating height and overall dimensions of 50 × 36 × 36 cm, weighing 11 kg, in a contemporary design style.
Description from the seller
- Some minor flaws in form and workmanship, in good condition,
- Weight: 11 kg
- Dimensions: H x W x D: 50 x 36 x 36 cm
- Made in the artist's workshop in Germany
- Wood: oiled oak, from ecologically responsibly managed forests.
Seat cushion: 2-color mélange wool fabric in Fishbone design, lightfast and eco-certified (100% polyester, Trevira CS).
About Zehnginger Stool:
ZEHNFINGER combines originality, modern minimalism, and sculptural furniture design. Slim arching curves, elegant proportions, and symmetrical balance give the stool an aura of relaxed nobility. The color scheme and vertical lines of the body, finger-column supports, oak grain, and high upholstery radiate meditative clarity. As a design solitaire, ZEHNFINGER brings the aesthetics of classical architecture into demanding interiors.
Inspired by the iconic arch formations of the Obidos Aqueduct in Portugal, the stool’s architecture interprets ZEHNFINGER’s monumental columnar construction in a surprisingly new way. In the craftily constructed solid-wood body, two arches rhythmically contrast with two closed sides. Depending on the lighting, column shadows wander through the room. Firmly anchored to the body is the comfortable, hand-sewn fabric upholstery. Quality in detail and timeless design make the ZEHNFINGER stool a beloved life companion.
About Heilig Objects:
Designer Daniel Heilig founded Heilig Objects to create furniture with more emotion and warmth.
His furniture fills living spaces with soul, aesthetics, and its own history. Qualities that the artist misses in German furniture design. He fills the void with authentic design language and nonconformist, emotive designs that often blur the line between furniture design and applied art.
His collectible pieces stand for soul, aesthetic poetry, and authentic stories. Created for the living situations and mindset of modern nomads and individualists who love contemplative design oases, minimalist everyday furniture, and atmospheric interior styling. For the designer, his objects are design oases that invite contemplative reflection.
