Description from the seller
vintage ESCI assembly kit complete as you can see from the photos, a historic Italian company that was a benchmark for modelers between the 1970s and 1980s
Vought A-7E Corsair II, a famous carrier-based attack aircraft of the US Navy
Scale: 1/48
It's a fairly large scale and appreciated because it allows a good level of detail without taking up too much space.
Production: ESCI (Ente Scambi Centro Internazionale) was based in Cernusco sul Naviglio (MI). As indicated on the box in this specific kit it conforms to a 1983 law, which places it right in those years (the golden era of the brand).
Brand status: ESCI ceased activity in the 1990s and its molds were largely acquired by Italeri.
A small historical detail
The aircraft depicted belongs to VA-83 "Ironmen", a squadron operating from American carriers. ESCI was famous for including decals of excellent quality that allowed faithful reproduction of these spectacular liveries.
