Set of five conserved ammonite specimens from Kazakhstan, Jurassic period, in a composed condition with original/official authenticity.
Description from the seller
Charming set of 5 small ammonites in classic micromount boxes from an older collection.
Each specimen measures approximately 1.3–1.6 cm and is presented in its own small collection box with a handwritten label, giving the lot a particularly appealing old-collection character.
The ammonites are small, but visually attractive and nicely readable, with good spiral development and a very coherent presentation as a group. All five pieces display well and make an appealing miniature collector’s lot, especially for those who appreciate micromounts, vintage labels, and cabinet-style fossil presentation.
Preservation is generally good for material of this size. The specimens appear stable and collectible, though some show minor natural imperfections, small edge losses, and light wear. They should therefore be regarded as honest collector’s pieces rather than top-grade premium examples. Their strength lies less in perfect preservation and more in their overall ensemble: five matching boxed ammonites with genuine old collection charm.
The handwritten labels appear to indicate an older identification, possibly Wengenia or a related form, but the writing is not fully clear and cannot be guaranteed with certainty. The same applies to the exact locality information. For that reason, the lot is offered primarily as an attractive old collection group of 5 small ammonites with original handwritten labels, not as fully secured scientific reference material.
According to the previous owner, the lot comes from his late father’s collection.
A pleasing and characterful fossil lot with strong display appeal — ideal for collectors of small ammonites, historic collection material, and classic micromount presentation.
