Description from the seller
Locomotive drive with integrated circuitry to regulate Digital locomotives with high-power drive, so they stop on command. Connections for a two-aspect light signal, for the required 3 rail sections to stop safely. The brake module is operated via a decoder k 83 or via a traditional switchboard 7272/72720. Dimensions 100 x 54 x 22 mm.
The brake module requires 3 isolated track sections at the signal. The first part is a transition section, corresponding to the length of a ski slider (about 70–90 mm). The second section is the actual braking section, in which the locomotive is controlled to stop. The length of the braking section is determined by the braking delay setting on the locomotive decoder. This second section must be at least 40–50 cm long. The third section is a safety section, in which, as is customary in signal sections, the running voltage is disconnected. This prevents an unintended “running through” of the locomotive over the signal section.
The brake module is suitable for light signals and semaphore signals.
Locomotives with built-in unmanaged Digital- or Delta electronics may remain partly in the braking section or only in the safety section. A unequivocal assignment is not possible. Therefore, the use of the brake module 72442 together with unmanaged drives is less recommended.
All connections with new snap-in connections. Function corresponds to brake module 72441.
