Two large Qing Dynasty blue-and-white porcelain covered vases from Jingdezhen, dating to about 1850–1900, each ca. 37 cm high and 15 cm in diameter, decorated with Prunus on Cracked Ice and surmounted by lion-dog finials, with minor age-related chips and glaze imperfections described in the condition notes.

Two Large Qing Dynasty Blue and White “Prunus on Cracked Ice” Covered Vases
This impressive set of two Qing Dynasty blue and white covered vases is decorated in the classic Prunus Blossom on Cracked Ice pattern. The rich cobalt-blue ground is reserved in white with four flowering plum trees on each vase, rendered in a lively and elegant style. Each cover is surmounted by a lion-dog (foo dog) finial. The vases stand approximately 37 cm high including the covers.
Condition:
* Vase No. 1 and Vase No. 2 bodies are free from cracks, restoration, and other later damage.
* Both foot rims have minor chips and fritting consistent with age.
* Vase No. 1 has a small kiln-related glaze bubble depression near the lower body.
* Vase No. 2 has a small kiln crack to the middle section of the body.
* Cover No. 1 has a hairline crack and minor chips.
* Cover No. 2 has chips to the rim.
