Description from the seller
Rare and authentic industrial heating lamp from HECLA S.A., originating from La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland.
This remarkable object probably dates from the first half of the twentieth century and was originally used as an electric heat radiating lamp.
The original nameplate is still present and reads:
* HECLA No. 2652
* 195 Volts
* 600 Watts
* Breveté (Patented)
* HECLA S.A.
* La Chaux-de-Fonds (Suisse)
The lamp is in its original, unrestored condition. The metal grille and various components show oxidation and signs of wear appropriate to the age. The original plug and wiring are still present.
The heating element has been tested.
Due to its sculptural form, this is a particularly interesting object for collectors of industrial lighting, early electrical devices, Art Deco design, and Swiss industrial heritage.
