Very exclusive design item quite sought after by design collectors.
Mario Botta is born on April 1, 1943 in Mendrisio, Canton of Ticino. He is a Swiss architect. He is based in Lugano in Ticino Township. As a leading architect he is internationally renowned, he has produced numerous works in Europe, Japan and the United States.
Mario Botta navigates what Manfredo Tafuri calls “utopia”. The architects who influenced him are Le Corbusier, Carlo Scarpa and Louis Kahn.
After building about twenty individual houses, Botta expanded his field of activity in the early 1980s to banking architecture, then design, and finally to cultural construction.
