Seiko Disney Time Mickey Mouse Manual Winding Watch - 5000-7000 - 1970s

This is a vintage Seiko Disney Time Mickey Mouse wristwatch, estimated to be from the 1970s.

This is not a generic Mickey Mouse watch. It is a Seiko-made vintage Disney watch, featuring the “Walt Disney Productions” marking on the dial. The combination of Seiko watchmaking, a hand-wound mechanical movement and classic Mickey Mouse character design makes this a highly attractive piece for both Disney collectors and vintage Japanese watch collectors.

The dial features Mickey Mouse at the centre, with his arms used as the hour and minute hands. The lower part of the dial is marked “Walt Disney Productions”, which strongly supports its appeal as an officially licensed Disney collectible from the period.

This watch is fitted with a Seiko Cal.500A hand-wound mechanical movement with 7 jewels. It is not a quartz watch and not an automatic watch. It is a manual winding mechanical watch, which is used by winding the crown by hand.

The case back is marked:

5000-7000
JAPAN J

The watch has a stainless steel case and is fitted with a new leather strap. The case measures approximately 34.8 mm excluding the crown.

Condition:
The watch is in used vintage condition. There are visible signs of age and use on the case, crystal and dial. The dial shows ageing, spotting and patina, which are clearly visible in the photos. These details are part of the character and charm of this vintage Disney watch.

The watch was running at the time of listing. Please note that this is a vintage hand-wound mechanical watch, and it should be regarded as a collectible vintage item rather than a modern daily-use watch.

As with many vintage mechanical watches, long-term operation, time accuracy and power reserve are not guaranteed. The watch may require adjustment, servicing or maintenance after purchase. Service history is unknown.

No box and no papers are included.

This is an attractive vintage Seiko Disney Time Mickey Mouse watch, combining Seiko’s Japanese watchmaking, a hand-wound mechanical movement, the “Walt Disney Productions” dial marking and classic Mickey Mouse design.

Please check all photos carefully before bidding.
