Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
This lot comprises two TEAC units, an EQA110 graphic equaliser and a CD-P3400 CD player, both in very good condition with rust spots on metal panels as shown in photos; original user manuals and RCA cables are included, and both have been tested and are fully functional.
Description from the seller
This lot consists of two items: a TEAC EQA110 graphic equalizer and a TEAC CD-P3400 CD player, both in excellent condition aside from rust spots due to oxidation of the metal panels as shown in the photo. Original user manuals and RCA cables for both models are included.
The TEAC EQA110 is a 10-band graphic equalizer designed to offer precise, musical control over the frequency response of a stereo system. It is a device aimed at enthusiasts who want to shape sound accurately without introducing audible noise or distortion. The EQA110 offers 10 bands per channel, with center frequencies covering the entire audible spectrum. The adjustment range is ±12 dB, sufficient for significant corrections but not so extreme as to alter the character of the system. Despite having 10 filters per channel, the EQA110 maintains surprisingly transparent behavior.
- Frequency response: 10 Hz – 100 kHz ±1 dB (slider in flat position): an enormous extension well beyond the audible range.
- Total harmonic distortion: 0.01%: practically imperceptible.
- Signal-to-noise ratio: 90 dB (A‑weighted): excellent for an analog equalizer.
These values indicate that, when used in flat mode, the EQA110 does not alter the sound.
Inputs and Outputs:
- Input impedance: 47 kΩ
- Nominal input level: 0.3 V
- Output impedance: 1 kΩ
- Maximum output level: 6 V
Construction and Power:
- Universal power supply depending on the market (115/230/240 V).
- Low power consumption: 8 W.
- Standard hi-fi dimensions: 435 × 83 × 213 mm.
- Weight: 2.5 kg
- Included accessories: RCA cables, original user manual.
The TEAC CD-P3400 presents itself as a high-end CD player designed to deliver professional-level audio performance.
Sound Quality:
- Frequency response: 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz ±0.5 dB, covering the entire audible spectrum with excellent linearity.
- Signal-to-noise ratio: greater than 110 dB (1 kHz), a value that ensures clean listening with no interference.
- Dynamic range: over 90 dB, ideal for faithfully reproducing the most delicate nuances and the strongest peaks.
- Total harmonic distortion: only 0.008% at 1 kHz—practically imperceptible, a sign of refined circuitry.
- Channel separation: better than 85 dB, ensuring a wide and well-defined stereo image.
The 1-bit linear DAC and the 8x oversampling digital filter contribute to a smooth, natural reproduction, while the 500 mW/32 ohm headphone output provides enough power even for high-impedance models.
Signal Format:
The player uses CIRC encoding for error correction and the EFM (Eight-to-Fourteen Modulation) system, standard in quality CDs. The sampling frequency is 44.1 kHz with 16-bit quantization, ensuring universal compatibility and faithful sound.
Optical System:
The GaAlAs three-beam laser pickup with a parallel-guide lens ensures precise disc reading, reducing errors and access times. The laser wavelength (765–815 nm) is perfectly calibrated for standard CD media.
General Characteristics:
- Power supply: compatible with voltages from 120 to 240 V AC, ideal for international use.
- Power consumption: only 10 W, indicating energy efficiency.
- Dimensions: 435 × 119 × 251 mm, weight 3.7 kg
- Included accessories: RCA cables and original user manual. Remote control is not included.
