JORDAN. 50 Fils. 1383 (1964). Hussein bin Talal (1952-1999)
- Value: 50 Fils.
- Reign: Hussein bin Talal (1952-1999).
- Year: 1383 (1964).
- Inscriptions: Obverse: value “٥٠ فلس” inside a central circle with a royal crown above, surrounded by a garland and an inscription in Arabic. Reverse: THE HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN · FIFTY FILS · 1964 around the central “50”.
- Grade: MS64 (NGC).
50 Fils silver coin with the Hashemite kingdom’s characteristic bilingual design, blending traditional Arabic elements with Western styling on the reverse. The obverse features a heraldic composition with a royal crown and garland, executed with fine and balanced craftsmanship, while the reverse shows a more sober design with clear and orderly typography. The specimen retains good original luster, with relatively clean fields and well-defined reliefs, showing light contact marks consistent with its grade. Issued during the reign of Hussein bin Talal, it reflects a period of institutional consolidation and modernization in Jordan in the mid-20th century.
Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to be absolutely clear that I do ship from Spain, which means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside EU that has special tax agreement (example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and it is completely out of our control. Thanks for your understanding.
