Description from the seller
Allen Iverson signed replica 76ers jersey. A beautiful item with a hologram and COA from Beckett. 76ers retro jersey Philadelphia.
His mother was 15 years old when he was born and his father left her very early. He played basketball at Georgetown University. Iverson was drafted first overall in 1996 by the Philadelphia 76ers. He played there for ten years. He wore number 3. Iverson was best known for his speed, his layups, and his crossovers. In his rookie season he was named Rookie of the Year (1996-97); in 2001 he was named NBA Most Valuable Player; he also started in seven consecutive All-Star Games (2000-2006), during which he was named MVP twice (2001 and 2005), and he played for the United States national team. The absolute peak of his career was the 2001 NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers, in which he could derail the Lakers' winning streak for one game. He was also MVP of the year.
In January 2007 he started playing for the Denver Nuggets. He went there because he wanted a new adventure, as he himself said, but primarily to win an NBA title. Subsequently he went to the Detroit Pistons in November 2008. He was traded for Chauncey Billups, Antonio McDyess and Cheikh Samb. In September 2009 he signed a one-year contract with the Memphis Grizzlies. After two months he returned for a season to the Sixers.
On October 26, 2010 Yahoo! Sports reports that Iverson agreed to a two-year contract worth $4 million net per year with the Turkish basketball club Beşiktaş JK. The club announced the signing at a press conference in New York on October 29, 2010. Iverson made his debut for Beşiktaş on November 16, 2010, in a Eurocup match against the Serbian Hemofarm. Iverson scored 15 points in 23 minutes.
In August 2013 Iverson called time on his playing career.
