Original oil painting titled Sneeuwgezicht by Van Velzen (XX), from 1970–1980, hand-signed, sold with frame, 47 × 61 cm framed (35 × 50 cm unframed), origin Netherlands, classic style, edition Origineel, in reasonable condition.
Description from the seller
This painting shows a tranquil winter landscape along an ice-covered river or canal, with a solitary walker along a snow-covered road toward the distance. On the right there are two cottages with thatched roofs, covered with a thin layer of snow, surrounded by bare trees whose branches are frosted with white. In the background a windmill is visible, a recognizable element in the Dutch landscape, which gives the scene a sense of depth and recognizability.
The work has somewhat yellowed and shows some surface dirt. The frame is also somewhat damaged.
Dimensions with frame: 47 x 61 cm
Dimensions without frame: 35 x 50 cm
Viewing is, of course, possible. Additionally, we have our own in-house frame shop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary year. Furthermore, we make use of restorers from the professional association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to make use of this, we would of course be happy to hear from you.
