A statue representing a queen or a high-ranking woman can symbolize:
- authority
- royal lineage
- fertility and the continuity of power
Wood is a living material, tied to nature. But the “power” of the object does not come from the sculpture alone; it is activated by rituals, sacred substances (plants, powders, etc.), and the involvement of a spiritual specialist (nganga).
