Antique giltwood frame from the early 1900s; the painting is instead an oil on canvas, also from the early 1900s, a faithful variant or a d'après copy of the "Madonna delle Grazie" (also known as Madonna with the Child) by Pierre Mignard (1612–1695), a renowned French Baroque painter.

The frame shows small signs of wear due to time.
